NHM for Life & Business
Because Success Shouldn't Feel Like an Existential Crisis
Are you ... okay?
Something's off, but you can't quite put your finger on it. On paper, you're doing fan-fucking-tastic. You've got a great job, generous income, people who depend on you, and a life that looks almost magical from the outside.
But on the inside?
You're running on fumes, low-grade resentment, and a quiet suspicion that somewhere along the way you made a wrong turn — or a series of 'em — and now you're not sure how to course-correct without blowing everything up.
In other words, your life isn't quite as epic as you make it seem. And you've been performing at a this survival mode level for long enough, the gap between the two is starting to feel really expensive.
A bit about me
Hi, I'm John. I'm an Executive Life Coach for Gen-X & Gen-Y solopreneurs and leaders (small business owners, team leads, middle-managers, executives in the C-Suite).
I built this Blog + Newsletter because it's the resource I needed when shit got hard. I've been stuck and directionless more times than I care to admit, and I didn't always have the honesty or the willingness to look clearly at what was actually wrong (or what I was doing to keep it that way).
What I needed back then wasn't a motivational speaker, a productivity system, or someone to tell me I just needed to "believe in myself." I needed someone direct, grounded, and willing to call it like they saw it without making me feel like an idiot for not having figured it all out already.
So, that's what I try to bring to the table.
What you won't find here is hustle gospel, manifestation, fake positivity, or any of the other things people sell when they'd rather make you feel good than tell you something true. Just honest writing about the real, unglamorous work of building a life and career that doesn't quietly drain you dry.
What this actually is
Every week, I publish one article.
The topics will vary, and will cover everything that can go sideways when you're busy being a functional human being:
- Mindset
- Habits
- Goals
- Limiting beliefs
- Relationships (personal and professional)
- Career decisions.
Oh, and let's not forget about the general chaos that goes along with trying to grow as a person while also keeping everything from falling apart at work and at home.
Some articles will make you uncomfortable, some will give you something specific and useful to try, and others will just name the thing you've been thinking but haven't said out loud yet (that last one might be the most useful of all).
The Newsletter bit isn't separate, it's how my articles will reach you. Subscribe once, and every new piece lands straight in your inbox.
No algorithm deciding whether you see it, and no hunting through a feed. Just the article, when it's ready, in your e-mail.
What you get
These are the features you'll get when you become a subscriber:
- Four articles every month (one per week).
- Full access to the archive (every article ever published).
- The ability to comment on any article (comments I read and respond to).
- Full access to all companion files (worksheets, guides, tools).
- Access to the virtual Suggestion Box (so you can suggest topics for new articles).
- Separate e-mails with announcements, promotions, special offers, random thoughts (the newsletter piece).
That's it. There's no 27-step welcome sequence waiting for you on the other side, and no upsell funnel disguised as a free gift. Just the writing, on a schedule, in your inbox.
If something here resonated — and I mean actually resonated, not just stirred a "meh, that was nice" thought — subscribe. It's free, and you can leave whenever you want.
